What Is the Picked Cherries platform?

Picked Cherries is a social podcasting platform that allows you as podcast listener to listen to your favorite podcasts, and then share 60-second clips called ‘picked cherries’ with your family and friends via SMS/Text, WhatsApp, email, and messaging and post on all major social media channels. With the ‘Stream’ functionality, you can discover new podcast through an endless loop of compelling ‘picked cherries’ and episodes.

What is a ‘picked cherry’?

A picked cherry is a 60-second audio clip of a podcast (on the Picked Cherries platform) that you, as a listener, can choose, save and share with your family and friends and post on social media.

Can I share a ‘picked cherry’ with friends that are not registered with Picked Cherries?

Yes, you can.  Picked Cherries makes it so easy to clip and share ‘picked cherries’ with your family and friends even if they are not registered with Picked Cherries.  Your family and friends can also forward the ‘picked cherries’ to their family and friends.

Should I register at Picked Cherries?

If you download the app and register at Picked Cherries, you can take advantage of all of the best functionality and enhance your listener experience. Your home page will be customized and populated with categories that you like. Then, you will be notified of the new releases of episodes for the podcasts that like. This lets you build a library of your favorite podcasts, episodes and cherries so you can share with your family and friends.

Can I use Picked Cherries as a guest?

Yes, you can.  You can use Picked Cherries as a guest and still have a great listener experience. You as a guest can listen to your favorite podcasts and enjoy the latest episodes, you can share ‘picked cherries’ with your family and friends and discover new podcasts through the ‘Stream’ functionality of popular ‘picked cherries’.

What is social podcasting?

We believe that podcasting is better when it is a shared experience. Picked Cherries developed proprietary sharing technology so you can have this shared experience with your family and friends listening to compelling podcast content on the Picked Cherries platform.  Picked Cherries combined the rich on-demand audio content of podcasting with the social and community aspects of social media to create ‘social podcasting’. 

Is it free to use?

Yes, it is free for listeners, guests and podcasters.  There is no hidden fees or costs.

Is Picked Cherries available on iOS in the Apple Store?

How do I get my favorite podcast on Picked Cherries?

Visit https://www.pickedcherries.com/podcast-listeners and tell us who you want to see on Picked Cherries.  We are onboarding new podcasts daily and would love to reach out to your favorite podcasters. 

What is a ‘picked cherry’?

A picked cherry is a 60 second clip that you can save in your library, share with friends and post to social media.   You can save an unlimited number of picked cherries to your library to store in one spot for future use.

Where can I share my Picked Cherries?

Share, share and share some more.  Picked Cherries can be easily shared with anyone (they do NOT have to have a Picked Cherries account) via text, email, WhatsApp and all of social media like Instagram, Facebook, X and TikTok. 

Do I have to create an account?

No – feel free to listen and share Picked Cherries as a guest.  Create an account and you can take advantage of the best listener experience and functionality. 

Can I listen to the newest episode of a podcast on Picked Cherries?

Once a podcast is registered with Picked Cherries, all new episodes (and episodes back to the beginning) are available for you to listen to.  Picked Cherries is your new place to listen and share podcasts.

What do you do with my personal information?

Picked Cherries is protective of its listeners and will never share/sell your personal information.  You can make an account knowing that Picked Cherries values your privacy. 

What if I have a suggestion to make Picked Cherries even better?

How do I change my username or the podcast categories that I selected?

Simply click on settings and you update your username or category choices.

How do I submit my podcast for inclusion of the Picked Cherries platform?

Go to www.pickedcherries.com/submit-your-podcast to complete the simple form to include your podcast.

How long does it take after I completed the ‘Submit Your Podcast’ form to go live on the Picked Cherries platform?

Generally, it takes one to three business days before your podcast is live on the platform.

How can Picked Cherries access my podcast?

Once you complete and the submit the ‘Submit Your Podcast’ form, your unique RSS feed gives us access to your podcast content including all back episodes and the images associated with your podcast. Also, when you release future episodes, our technology automatically retrieves your new episodes and makes them available on the Picked Cherries platform.

I have submitted my podcast and there is a problem with my podcast or episodes on the Picked Cherries platform.

There are several simple reasons why your podcast or your episodes are not showing up correctly on the Picked Cherries platform.  The one-time only issue could be differences in the required format (we use mp3s).  Please email Picked Cherries at tech@pickedcherries.com  to make us aware of the situation and we will work with you to solve the issue.

Is it free to include my podcast on the Picked Cherries platform?

Yes, it is free.  You as a podcaster and your listeners are free to enjoy all of the functionality provided by Picked Cherries to build your audience, expand your reach and increase engagement. 

Is my podcast’s inclusion on Picked Cherries non-exclusive?

Yes, it is.  Your podcast’s presence on Picked Cherries is 100% complementary to the other podcast players that your podcast appears on.

As a podcaster, can I make and share ‘picked cherries’?

Yes, we encourage you to share ‘picked cherries’, post them on social media and encourage your listeners to do the same. Use the Picked Cherries platform as a tool to build your audience and increase engagement.  In addition, every ‘picked cherry’ you and your listeners make actually populate the app giving your podcast more of a presence on the Picked Cherries and thereby improving your position to be discovered by new listeners.
